What to do?

As Salaamu Aalaykum,

We have started the long process of emailing Muslim Businesses trying to find out if they would be interested in being part of Frugal Muslim. Some where very excited to be part of it. It's advertisement based on performance to a targeted audience. However, some just don't want to pay.

This is how it works. You shop at Muslim Store A. You purchase an Item. We get paid by the Merchant for sending you there. We share a percentage of that with you, the community and non profits. Sounds simple enough?

Some merchants, however, whether it be intentionally or not are trying to make it item specific.

So lets say you went through our link for a thobe in Muslim Merchant A and once you got to their site you find out that the item is no longer available. No big deal, you are still interested in buying a thobe so you click on the next available thobe and you purchase it. We, however, don't get paid for it, not even an acknowledgment. In the mean time you did everything right but will get nothing. You think we ripped you off and have kept everything, we on the other hand are oblivious of any sales and our reputation suffers. We have been wondering if we should just cut these merchants off?
